Here at The Able Label, we are driven to provide confidence boosting and independence enhancing adaptive clothing. We have seen first hand the benefits that adaptive clothing can make to peoples lives.

It is therefore key to us to try and keep our ranges as affordable as possible to make them as accessible to as many as we can. This is whilst maintaining our high quality and adaptive approach that people have come to know and love. 

We thought it was important to be as transparent as possible with our prices and highlight why they are what they are. We are different to high street retailers and proud of this.

 

MADE WELL, MADE TO LAST

We make every item of The Able Label clothing as well as we believe it could be made. We are confident you won’t find any other adaptive clothing company offering the same level of ease of dressing and quality at the prices we do.

We use quality fabrics and our style is seasonless, made to last meaning you won't need to keep buying new. This enables us to reduce our environmental footprint and actually makes our clothes more cost effective given the time they last for.

It is our aim to design and manufacture every garment such that it should give you a lifetime of enjoyable wear and easier dressing. 

 

MADE WITH PRIDE

The factories we partner with are carefully selected and staffed by highly skilled and highly valued men and women who take great pride in their work. This also goes for the extremely talented seamstresses we work with in the UK too. 

Brands are increasingly facing pressure for reduced prices. As a small business, making small runs with minimal waste, we simply cannot compete with high street prices for the simple reason, we do not make the same volumes.

By supporting the brand at this early stage, we will soon be able to increase the volumes we manufacture, to give a cost price reduction that can then be passed onto you, the customer. Until then, we will not cut corners and ensure that our skilled staff are paid fairly for the amazing work they do.

 

MADE WITH A DIFFERENCE

The designs we make are not your regular designs that you would find on the high street. Everything we do is designed to make dressing easier. These differences in design, tend to be more expensive to manufacture.

For example our wrap skirts use nearly 50% more fabric then standard skirts of a similar style, in order to allow easier access and comfort.

Also in order to put VELCRO® Brand Fastening / Fasteners in place of buttons for easier fastenings, the workmanship involved is far greater than simply applying a button. Adding VELCRO® Brand Fastening / Fasteners means a lot of stop start work with four sides of VELCRO® Brand Fastening / Fasteners needing to be stitched and this is on either side plus in addition to the buttons we still apply in order to make the garments look like a regular items. This all adds time to manufacturing and our factories and seamstresses need to be paid for this accordingly.

It is not only our clothing that is helpful, we are too. We have a friendly customer services team to help and advise on any queries you may have. We are here to help you find the right items for your specific needs. This is something we include within our service as standard.

 

MADE MORE AFFORDABLE 

You can see that as a small business, we are doing all that we can to make our clothing as accessible to as many people as possible.

Until we can increase our volumes, there are several things we are doing within our little business to cut out many of the usual costs of designing and selling clothes.

This allows us to maintain our high quality - making our products with the best factories and seamstresses, using quality materials.

 

1. VAT relief

As our clothes have been specifically designed to make dressing easier, the majority of them are eligible for VAT relief. This means that to those this applies to, just the retail price excluding VAT is paid - so 20% off. Find out more > VAT relief. 

2. Direct to you

We do not sell in the traditional retail and wholesale way, focusing on direct-to-consumer. This allows us to cut out all the traditional wholesale and retail costs that others face.

3. Free returns service

We cover the cost of returning items back to us should they not be quite right. This allows you the peace of mind to try items on in the comfort of your own home and return on us free of charge. Find out more > Delivery and Returns.

4. Sale items and bundle offers

There are several options within the range that are discounted due to becoming fragmented in stock and not being continued with some up to 50% off.

If you need multiples, we have just launched our bundle offers, which mean that there is a further discount if you order more than one item. These discounts vary between £5 - £15 per bundle. Find out more > Shop Sale. 

5. Alterations service

Lastly, there is always the option of sending us your favourite items to be altered and we can adapt them to be easier to dress. Our amazing seamstresses can do so much and are more than willing to help. It is £12 per alteration, which covers one hours work for our seamstresses. We want to be here making a difference in years to come but in order to do so and to do it fairly, our prices have to reflect the additional work, which goes into every single item.
